Don't Frack With Me!

Students will gather in Washington Square Park for a rally to ban hydrofracking on Wednesday. Hosted by the Oxfam Club and the Students Against Fracking Coalition with NYU Sustainability, United for Action and other activism groups, the rally promotes civic engagement.

"This rally is a chance for students all over New York City to come together and voice their opinions against hydrofracking," Liliana Astiz, co-president of Oxfam at NYU, said.

"We are not expecting this to change legislation. This is going to be a long and hard fight. There are millions, and possibly billions, of dollars at stake. But we want to work together in a unified voice. If you want clean drinking water you should say something about it."
